Brigadier Jerry

One of the most influential Jamaican DJ?s although his importance in the birth of dancehall is often overlooked due to the lack of times he appeared on record. Instead his reputation was built mainly on sound tapes, live recordings of dances where he would electrify the crowd. He often performed with the Jah Love sound system, as did his sister, Sister Nancy. He didn?t cut a huge number of tracks but one of the people he did record for was Coxsone Dodd at Studio One, having massive local hits with ?Every Man A Me Brethren? and ?Ram Dance Master?
