Jamaican singer, he first recorded for Studio One in 1968 aged just 13. However, it was the records he made with Augustus Pablo in the mid 70s that he is best remembered for such as ?False Rasta?, ?Who Say Jah No Dread?, ?Keep On Knocking? and ?Baby I Love You So?, the latter a huge hit, helped by the fact it had one of King Tubby?s best dubs on the flip. He also had hits with Joe Gibbs and as a member of the internationally successful reggae group Inner Circle. A very popular live performer, he took part in the One Love Peace Concert with Bob Marley in 1978 and was one of the stars in the legendary ?Rockers? film. No doubt he would have become a lot more well known internationally had his life not been cut tragically short following a car crash in 1980.
