In 1969 she teamed up with Bob Andy and under the name Bob and Marcia they had a huge international hit with their version of Nina Simone?s ?Young, Gifted and Black? for producer Harry J, along with more hits for Coxsone Dodd at Studio One
From 1975 until Bob Marley?s death in 1981 she was a member of the I Threes, along with Rita Marley and Judy Mowatt, the backing singers for Bob Marley and the Wailers In 1989 (7 years after it was recorded !) she had another huge hit in the US with the crossover club hit Electric Boogie.
