The Clarendonians

Ernest Wilson and Peter Austin were in their early teens when they first came to the attention of Coxsone Dodd and the records they made at Studio One such as ?Rudie Bam Bam?, ?You Can?t Be Happy? and ?Rude Boy Gone A Jail? were prime examples of Ska in the Rude Boy era. A third member, Freddie McGregor, a mere 7 year old at the time was added and in the mid 60s they were as popular as the other most successful up and coming group of the time, the young Bob Marley and the Wailers. Wilson and McGregor went on to have distinguished solo careers.
