The Upsetters

The collective name for whatever group of musicians Lee Perry was using at the time. The name was taken from his 1967 hit ?The Upsetter? and 2 years later the group scored an even bigger hit with ?Return of Django?, which reached number 5 in the UK pop charts. Musicians who have been in the group at some point include Glen Adams and Winston Wright (keyboards), Val Bennett (tenor sax), Aston ?Family Man? Barrett and Boris Gardiner (bass), Hux Brown (guitar) and Carlton Barrett, Sly Dunbar and Clevie Brown (drums)
